Hamilton makes F1 history

With his performance in today’s Bahrain GP, finishing 2nd for the second time, Lewis Hamilton made history as the first driver to finish on the podium in his first 3 races.

Another podium for Hamilton

And what a fantastic drive by him? It surely can’t be long before we see his maiden win! Hamilton does seem to be the current great British hope, and I was hoping he would nail Massa in the dying laps, but it was just too much to ask, a real shame that poor middle stint.

I must just also mention David Coulthard’s race, he was absolutely flying! It’s been a while since I’ve seen him drive so well, and I was gutted when he had to pull out with a driveshaft failure after getting to 7th from starting in 21st. It was good to see him back on form, let’s hope that Red Bull find some more performance over the next month and can see how DC does with a better start position.

Well, with Hamilton, Alonso and Raikkonen all tied on 22 points in the Championship I hope the season carries on in this vein, it could make it a very interesting one, and it’s already shaping up well after just 3 races.
